What's new with ewe?
It's Spring! Here it is the end of another winter in Alberta, Canada. The snow is FINALLY starting to melt and little creeks are running all over the farm, mostly in the driveway. We are so optimisitic that summer is coming that even my daughter is convinced that she is goin' fishin' with her little Dora rod in the driveway creeks :oAfter a rather dreary white (and grey) winter, I can think of nothing but COLORS! Colors of new flowers and dye plants in the garden, colors of dyed fibers from the dye pots (wowee on this one!), and putting these fibers through the carder and onto the spinning wheel. Then there's the shearing on the fleeces coming up...yum, more fibery goodness! Better than chocolate some days!
That's what's up with this gal...what's new with ewe?

My new eBay store is open!

I am excited about my new eBay store called Funkyewe Fun Fibers. You can click on this link to have a peek http://stores.ebay.ca/Funkyewe-Fun-Fibers . I have sold some items and alpaca rovings in my first week! It has taken a while to get set up, taking pictures of the sale items, getting my fibers weighed and bagged and ready to go. I haven't done as much spinning as I thought I would since Christmas...oh well...onwards I go!
I did tell my fiber babies that their fleeces were selling very well, but as you can see in the picture above, they didn't seem too concerned about it. I think they had their heads into something else. Typical as usual.
